Ballroom dance lessons for kids San Jose

The program taught by our experts is designed to encourage a lifelong appreciation for dance, social interaction and a focus on fitness. Our mission is to help children and teenagers achieve their potential through dance and cultivate in them a love and appreciation for dance to last a lifetime.

The ideal age to begin learning dancing is 5-6 years. Ballroom dance is a highly coordinated type of dance sport and therefore requires a specific physical preparation, in particular: stretching, choreography, movements created to improve coordination and flexibility, strengthening of legs, feet, back and arm muscles. That is why earlier your child starts to learn easier for him/her will be in future to do complicated figures and dance routine

Plan of study: International Standard (Slow waltz, Tango, Slow foxtrot, Venice waltz and Quickstep) and International Latin (Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Pasodoble and Jive) dances.

Here is

Boys and girls of 7-12 years old

This group starts from learning both ballroom dance programs: International Standard (Samba, Cha-cha-cha, jive) and International Standard (Slow Waltz, Tango, Quickstep).

The program is preparing children to participate in their first competition and in possible show performances.

For BOTH groups: It is not necessary to have a partner as children most of time will learn and work on steps and elements separately. Depending on progress the teacher may create couples and then training process will start in a new direction of a couple dancing for children.

Each class is divided into several parts where necessary block of movements is worked through. Usually each block is 15-30 minutes depending on group of muscles of the body, complexity of movements and also the intensity of work.
